What is Career Ambassador Team?
Career Ambassador Team (CAT) is a program jointly held by Altın Kariyer and Altınbaş University students with the aim of supporting the career development of AU students. Students holding the role of Career Ambassador should carry out the following duties: provide guidance to their peers, act as role model in terms of career development, encourage them to invest in professional endeavors, and help them find financial resources.
Who are Career Ambassadors?
Career Ambassadors are selected by the Career Development Center amongst the students attending the Schools of Altınbaş University. Advisors at Career Development Center provide the necessary trainings set forth by the CAT program to students selected as Career Ambassadors.
How Do the Career Ambassadors Operate?
Depending on their weekly working hours, Career Ambassadors provide support activities in Career Development Center offices. Each member operates as a Career Ambassador and a representative of the Career Development Center within his/her respective academic department and among his/her peers. A Career Ambassador shall provide monthly meeting feedback, offer suggestions/ideas and collect information for the development of activities and the improvement of his/her team. S/he shall take part in activities held by the Career Development Center.

How to Apply / How to Become a CAT Member
Students wishing to apply to the CAT program are required to complete an online application form on Altın Kariyer’s website by the published deadline for each academic year; or they can fill out an application form at the Career Development Center.
Selection of Career Ambassadors
Careers Ambassadors are selected among the applicants as a result of a series of interviews conducted by our Career advisors.

Monitoring and Support Process
Advisors at the Career Development Center provide every support possible to Career Ambassadors. Advisors provide feedback from team members by regularly monitoring their activities, and hold additional training sessions, when they deem it necessary.
Member performances are measured and evaluated at the end of each semester. The performance evaluation shall be conducted by the Career Development staff and also the members shall be allowed to evaluate each other’s performance.
Terms and Conditions for Resigning from CAT Membership / Removal from CAT Membership
In the event that Career Ambassadors do any of the following, their membership shall be terminated immediately;
Performance Evaluation of CAT
Career Ambassadors are required to hold monthly performance review meetings to exchange ideas and suggestions on CAT activities. Thus, members can identify their strong points; and their weak points that need improvement and take the necessary actions under the chairmanship of the meeting moderator.
How to Develop CAT Program?
CAT program is constantly being improved by student feedback obtained from CAT members’ performance review meetings held at the end of each month and each semester, and by advice and suggestions from Career Development Center advisors. Feedback and reviews gathered at the end of each semester are evaluated by the advisors in order to identify development needs and goals. Advisors also develop an action plan and share it with the CAT members so as they can take the plan into practice in the following semester.
